Amy Poehler and Tina Fey announce comedy tour

Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, one of Hollywood’s favorite duos, will be taking their talents on the road. They’re embarking on their first live comedy tour together, “Amy Poehler and Tina Fey: Restless Leg Tour.”

Starting in the spring of 2023, Old Friends is set to arrive in four cities on the East Coast. Produced by Live Nation, the “Restless Leg Tour” kicks off in Washington, D.C. on April 28 at DAR Constitution Hall and stops at Chicago’s Chicago Playhouse on May 20 and Boston’s MGM Music Hall in Fenway on June 9 before concluding in Atlantic City at Hard Rock Live. at Etess Arena on June 10th.

The show promises to “celebrate 30 years of their friendship with an evening of jokes, feature stories, and talkative entertainment.”

“If this tour goes properly, we can finally end this friendship,” Bowler and Fay said in a joint statement.

Poehler and Fey met in the 1990s Chicago improv scene before they were hired on “Saturday Night Live,” eventually becoming the first co-anchors of “Weekend Update.” In addition to headlining long-running TV sitcoms — Poehler’s “Parks and Recreation” and Fey’s “30 Rock” — the dynamic duo has shared the screen in the comedies “Mean Girls,” “Baby Mama” and “Sisters.”

Poehler and Fey have hosted the Golden Globes together four times, where their wry observations of Hollywood celebrities — from Leonardo DiCaprio’s penchant for dating younger women to Lifetime Achievement Award winner George Clooney living in the shadow of his hugely successful wife, Hope — were ratings and critical hits.
