Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania continues to hit the UK box office

Disney’s “Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania” continued to top the UK and Ireland box offices for a second consecutive weekend with 3.04 million pounds ($3.6 million), according to figures from Comscore.

In its fourth weekend, Universal’s “Puss In Boots: The Last Wish” collected £1.7 million in second place with a total of £20.4 million. Another global title, ‘Cocaine Bear’ from Elizabeth Banks, debuted in third place, taking in £1.5m.

Studiocanal “What does love have to do with it?” It debuted at number four with £1.08 million. Rounding out the top five was Warner Brothers. “Magic Mike’s Last Dance” which earned £470,020 in its third weekend for a total of £4.9 million.

The only debut in the top ten charts was “Broker” by Kore-Eda Hirokazu winner, from Picturehouse Entertainment, which debuted at number eight with £150,178.

Among the upcoming releases, Sony’s anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba – To The Swordsmith Village” will arrive midweek on March 1.

March 2 sees CinemaLive release the concert film “Brian & Roger Eno: Live At The Acropolis”.

There are several releases on March 3 led by Warner Bros. ‘Creed III’ sequel. MUBI releases Cannes Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated Lukas Dhont’s film in 100 locations.

Dartmouth Films opens with a Central Asia trip documentary, Women Behind the Wheel, while Dogwoof bows to The Theme, focusing on the ethics and responsibility inherent in documentary filmmaking.

Bulldog Film Distribution releases SXSW winner I’m Fine (Thanks for Asking) and Conic opens BAFTA nominated documentary Electric Malady. In a great week for documentaries, Met Film Distribution’s “Fashion Reimagined” also bowed.

Magnetes Pictures releases Polish drama “Heaven in Hell” and Park Circus opens a 4K screening of the restoration of Sidney Poitier’s “Buck and the Preacher,” starring Poitier, Harry Belafonte, and Robbie D.
