Don't Show Again Yes, I would!

Chelsea have a second case for Liverpool as they ‘hold talks’ with Jurgen Klopp’s side | football | sports

If Liverpool sign Guardiol, it could be the second issue they cause at Chelsea this summer, with the Anfield side leading the race to sign Mason Mount. The England international’s contract expires in 2024.

Negotiations over an extension recently broke down, leading to suggestions that the midfielder would be sold this summer rather than to the Blues, allowing him to finish his contract and leave with nothing in 18 months’ time.

Although he has struggled for form this season, Mount has been consistently picked up by Potter and deployed to numerous positions. The former Brighton boss will therefore need to find a direct replacement in the transfer market – which could come at a price more significant than the fees they are likely to recoup from selling Mount.

Losing Jvardiol to Liverpool, as well as watching Mount move to Anfield, will be a traumatic experience for the Blues.
