Gary Neville believes Harry Kane is the kind of player who could lead United to the Premier League title.
Reports have linked the Spurs star with a move to Old Trafford as his contract in north London draws to a close, but Spurs are likely to fight hard to keep him.
“I’ve worked with him and said this before, he’ll score 30 goals and get 10 or 15 assists, and that’s an absolute truth,” he told The Overlap. “He’s a professional, the dressing room will love him, he’ll adapt right away and he’s a guarantee for Manchester United.
If he’s going to cost £150m and he’s 30, that’s short-lived, but Casemiro, we all said it by the way, £60m. [transfer fee] And £20m a year for five years is a £170m investment.
“He’s not a smart or clever signing, none of us thought that, but the impact he’s going to have in the short term is what Manchester United need, he’s devastating to the club in an incredible way.
“So Harry Kane, he’s the kind of player who can take you to the title, he’ll tie the whole midfield up the pitch and he’ll score goals. The fans will love him, the players will love him and love him and love him. I don’t see how you can go wrong with him.”
