Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis needed to be pushed around in a wheelchair this past weekend at the Super Bowl due to an ankle injury he sustained.
WBA Lightweight Champion Tank Davis (28-0, 26 KOs) said he’d be fine. He should be fine to face Ryan Garcia on April 15th in their massive fight on Showtime PPV.
It’s unclear why Tank chose to go to the Super Bowl in this situation, but he probably wanted to see. Obviously, it wasn’t ideal to be seen in a wheelchair, but who knows what was going on in 28-year-old Tank’s mind.
Tank seen in this state has a lot of fans chirping on social media, thinking he’s looking for a way out of his fight with Ryan Garcia (23-0, 19 KOs), which is hard to believe considering he’s expected to be. Heavy favourite.
Tank vs. Ryan is a fight that has been plagued with trouble for the ages, and if it doesn’t happen soon, fans will give it up the same way they got tired of the Errol Spence Jr. vs. Terrence Crawford match. Two donas who never fight with anyone and can’t negotiate a match between them, even though it would make both of them a lot of money.
“Well,” Gervonta “Tank” Davis told TMZ Sports last Sunday at the Super Bowl when asked how bad his injured ankle was. “S*** happens all the time. S*** happens.”

Oscar Valdez picks Ryan Garcia for the win over Tank
“I have Ryan. I’ve seen him in the gym. He’s not that pretty boy that everyone thinks he’s going to win,” Oscar Valdez told Fight Hub TV when asked who would win the Tank Fight against Ryan Garcia.
“I have Ryan. He’s fast, and he also has power in his shots. I can see his powerful shots, and I can see Tank winning too, but I’m leaning towards Ryan. It’s going to be a knockout. Either Tank or Ryan.”
“This is a good fight. I’m training with Ryan Garcia,” Joseph Jogo Diaz told ESNEWS when asked about his prediction about the Tank Fight against Ryan Garcia.
“Tank Davis is a tough fighter, don’t get me wrong. So if he catches Ryan first, it’s over for Ryan. I just think Ryan has the speed and the range and the ability to catch Gervonta Davis first,” said Jojo.
