Jose Benavidez Jr. says David Will KO Caleb Blunt

Jose Benavidez Jr. expects his brother, former WBC Middleweight Champion David Benavidez, to beat Caleb Blunt on March 25 in their fight on Showtime PPV at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas.

Benavidez Jr. says Plant (22-1, 13 KOs) will run like a track star, trying to get away from David at night, but at some point he will catch up and score a knockout.

The last knockdown of Anthony Dirrell on Plante did not affect Benavidez Jr., as he still saw himself as a weak hitter. His KO of Dirrell was an anomaly and an indication of some newfound strength.

For the pay-per-view fans who will be buying the Plant-Benavidez fight at Showtime PPV, they’re hoping Plant doesn’t work all night on March 25 because they want to watch an entertaining bout so they can get their money’s worth.

“Now Caleb is trying to play the nice guy, the victim, but all his other fights, he’s been talking about,” Jose Benavidez Jr. told Fight Hub TV about Caleb Blunt. “What happened? What changed him?”

“It’s not that he turned into a villain. That person [Plant] He was talking a lot of s**t. It’s been going on for years. He was talking about **t**. It’s time to put an end to it.

Even once David beats his a**, he’ll probably still run his mouth. He’s just that kind of dude. Caleb Blunt, to me, is nothing special. My brother is strong and fast and he’s got the power.

“It’s going to be a good night. I bet once he gets his a**, he’ll still talk. He doesn’t have a chance with my brother,” Benavidez Jr. said of Plant. “I don’t see anything special with Caleb Plant at all. Don’t hit hard. He runs like a track star. He doesn’t have anything special.

“All he does is talk, but he doesn’t do anything personal. He’s strong behind the keyboard, but in person, he’s a nobody. My brother is fast, he hits hard, and his record proves it.”

“It shows he didn’t strike,” Benavidez Jr. said when told Plante had 13 knockouts on his 22-fight resume. All he does is run. What did david do to deryl? who has it [Plant] came out like that? no body else.

“All his fights, he gets hit, even though he runs. Like I said, I don’t see anything special about him at all. He’s just another fighter to me. David will block him 100%. Davis has the power, he’s a smart fighter, and he can take a hit. It’s going to be Good night.

“I feel like Canelo only has one speed. He goes there and just throws power shots. He looks for a shot at David, who can box and tackle you, and can stand there and go toe-to-toe with you. He has a lot of different skills.

“He’s taller and much stronger. Canelo just went in and tried to look for a powerful shot. David can do everything. That will be the difference. That night, David will show everyone why Canelo doesn’t want to fight him.

“It’s annoying that all these people who claim to be top dogs don’t want to fight top dogs. My brother didn’t duck or duck anyone. We had to keep training hard and beat these guys until they got ahead. Who knows when they’ll get up?”

“That’s the thing about my brother. He’s a patient fighter. He doesn’t let anger get the better of him. He knows what he’s doing. I’m always there for him, by his side. We’re a great team together.”

“I know what my brother can do. It’s exciting to me, especially when a guy talks so much before a fight, talks so much trash, and shows them who the real dog is,” said Benavidez Jr.
