Don't Show Again Yes, I would!

Joshua Boatsie leaves Eddie Hearn’s room to match and DAZN, signs with BOXXER/Sky

In a huge blowout, talented heavyweight contender Joshua Boatsy (16-0, 13 KOs) left Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom & DAZN to sign a multi-fight deal with BOXXER to fight on Sky.

By choosing to sign with BOXXER/Sky, soon-to-be 30-year-old Boatsy could take on undefeated contender Dan Aziz in a heart-pounding battle. This would be by far the biggest fight of Olympian Boatsi’s six-year professional career.

How long Ben-Shalom, CEO of BOXXER, intends to wait before appointing Buatsi to fight for the world title is unknown. Buatsi is currently ranked #1 with the WBA so he can challenge champion Dmitry Bivol soon.

He will fight Boatsy on May 6th, and he plans to maneuver himself into a world title fight soon. He felt that if he stayed on DAZN, he wouldn’t get the attention of boxing fans on that app, because he wondered if he was being seen.

“I want people to say, ‘We know which channel to go into.'” I wouldn’t tell you to download an app or write your email. During my last fight, I asked myself, ‘How much did you watch?’ Joshua Boatsy told The Mirror why he left Matchroom/DAZN in favor of BOXXER/Sky, ‘I don’t think a lot of people saw that.

Fighters like Joshua and Dan [Azeez]”They must be thinking, ‘I can fight but get into my world,'” Jonny Nelson told Sky Sports of Joshua Boatsy.

“May 6th, I want to put on a show and pick up where I left off,” said Boatsy. “I’ve got good ratings, so I just have to maneuver myself carefully and hope I get a world title.”

“Fortunately, he is on the greatest teams in the world. There are huge opportunities, and on a local level, there are huge battles to be fought,” said Ben Shalom, CEO of BOXER, speaking of Boatsie.

“That’s the thing with Joshua. He wants these fights. He’s coming to fight these fights. Even when we were talking about him coming, he’d say, ‘This is the fight I want.’ He doesn’t want to be away from anyone.

“He wants the biggest tests, he wants to be recognized as such. We can make it 100% and, as he said, his ranking is second to none and he’ll get his chances. What we have here is a role model.

He wants to spread his message, he wants to spread his goodwill. When you feel like you’re not getting it and you feel like you’re not fulfilling in and out of the ring, that’s what we at Sky and BOXER want to help him with. “I think the next 18 months and the next two and three years are going to be very, very special,” Shalom said.
