Former St Kilda captain Nick Riewoldt got his dream start in life in America, appearing on ESPN’s Super Bowl coverage.
Riewoldt moved to his wife’s hometown of Texas this year, stepping down from his senior commentator role, which included time on Fox Footy.
His time in the United States quickly gained momentum, as the six-time Best and Fairest winner accepted an offer to do freelance work with ESPN in the run-up to the Super Bowl.

“It’s on another level, there’s a massive vibe, a big buzz in town,” Riewoldt told Triple M’s The Rush Hour.
“I moved to Texas a few weeks ago and suddenly got a call from an Australian guy at ESPN asking if I wanted to cover him.
“I piss myself off to be honest, this is a dream come true.”
Riewoldt’s former teammate Arryn Siposs is also at the center of Super Bowl coverage, as the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback plays against the Kansas City Chiefs.
“He was really optimistic that he would get up to play,” said Riewoldt.
“It’s a great story and I just hope it goes well.”
Another Australian who will take to the field with Siposs is Sydney-born Jordan Melata.
