Unbeaten 154-pound contender Tim Tszyu has a job to do on the weekends back home in Australia, and the task he has is to defeat the experienced, motivated, and powerful Tony Harrison in a fight that will rival the interim WBO belt. Tszyu is focused on fighting but he is also looking forward. Speaking to Fox Sports Australia, Tszyu stated how Errol Spence “just doesn’t like me.”
Tszyu is angry about how Spence chose Harrison to beat him, and how Spence chose against him in the past. In addition, Spence announced on social media that he would bet $10,000 on Harrison to win – with Tszyu’s fan, boxing manager Pete Metrivski, daring Spence to raise his bet to $50,000.

Tszyu says Spence is a fighter he would very much like to face in the future. Tszyu called Spence a “lecherous” and said he would be “notified”.
“The man is a lecher—that’s why,” Tsizou said regarding Spence’s bet against him. And remember, this is the same guy who also said that Tyrell Gosha was going to beat me in my last fight, too. So what happened there Errol? I never said anything bad about the guy. But for some reason, he just doesn’t like me. It’s Team America, I guess— That’s how they are. But these bad guys, they will all be notified. I have a long future ahead of me and I will define them all one by one.”
Tszyu said he respects Spence’s ability as a boxer, but “he would welcome this fight with both hands.”
Looks like we have a potential grudge festering here. But first, Tszyu, 21-0 (15) must pass Harrison, 29-3-1 (21) while the plan after that is for the winner to face injured Unified Champion Jermel Charlot. But Tszyu laid out his entire year: beat Harrison, then beat Charlo, then continue with Spence. It’s hard to hate Tszyu’s self-belief and confidence, not to mention his sheer ambition.
