The Tigers have announced that Api Koroisau has been named captain for another season just months after his “aftertaste” dig at the merger club infuriated club president Lee Hagipantelis.
The day after Penrith’s premiership in 2022, Kouroaçao said, “Just going out on top like that, it’s incredible, and I’ll probably do the same thing with the Tigers,” before laughing.
“If he had his time again he might rethink those comments,” Hagipantelis said at the time, and Coruaçao has since been welcomed into the Tigers’ lineup after signing a $2 million deal.

Now the 30-year-old prostitute was handed the captain’s gun and the actor said it was an “honor.”
“To be asked to lead this team in my first year with the club means a lot,” Kouroaçao said in a club statement.
“This is a great group of players, and it’s an honor to be their captain.
“From the moment I joined this club, my family and I felt welcome.
“It was a great start to my time as a West Tiger player and I’m looking forward to helping this team and this club be the best they can be.”
New coach Tim Shines and CEO Justin Pascoe both took the time to congratulate the club’s new captain.
“We have many capable leaders on this team, and my father is one of them,” said Shinz.
“He’s well respected within the group, and I know he’s going to do a great job.
“I congratulate him on getting the role.”

Pascoe added, “In the short time he’s been with us, Abe has demonstrated and embraced our core values as a club.”
“His leadership in the field is of vital importance, as is his leadership in other areas of our business.
“I think it’s a tremendous appointment and I’m sure he will thrive with the added responsibility.”
Last season, Michael Maguire created a five-man leadership group, appointing five captains instead of the traditional single captain.
James Tamou, Luke Brooks, Adam Douaihy, Ken Maomalo and Tyrone Beachy took part in the captaincy duties after being voted on by their teammates.
Couroaçao is also one of several notable recruits who joined the merger club in the off-season.
The two-time Premier League winner joins David Clymer, Isaiah Papale, John Bateman and Charlie Staines in making the move to Leichhardt.
